The study of humans. Intriguing.

Accommodating is the one value i stressed on during the overseas camp (moc) last year. The act of accepting and giving comfort to those new in environment alien to them. Am i bathing in its excellent value so preached in the year past? O God i hope so. Make me of those whose welcoming spirit are warm to hearts reached.

The five i was with, received results glorious enough to secure them safe passage to the land West. Masya-Allah, congratulations guys/girls. Alhamdulillah.

Hazwany. Zafirah. Sasya. Aqmin. Khalil.

The (economist)-wanna-bes. May God give you strength enough to finish the dream you now hold.

Silence of the night. I sat down, helping myself with the leftover dishes. Yea, when everyone was in the hall gaining knowledge, i was there to meet my own needs.

Rain. I laid down. Exhausted. When friends left the accommodation for group discussions, i denied the desire to follow suit, knowing energy lost might be needed in instances unexpected.

Such were brief moments experienced during the (muslim) overseas camp. Pieces of a bigger picture that led to my acknowledging the job of one known as a driver. I salute those who are undervalued for the down-to-earth tone you have to portray for a bigger cause at hand, masya-Allah.

Though i missed most of the slots, i smiled, knowing that the drive to and from the various destinations may be of benefit to others. And that soothes the aching heart.

Salam

Peace.

Malaysia.. Home.. That’s what they all say. Those who dream big, studying overseas and whose hearts may be infested with arrogance that change their views; that they are giants while others are but mere dwarfs. Yet, those who are still true to the path, knowing here it is where the future of us will be made true, they regret not the situation here. They aspire to question the problems they see, to take note and make these their life-long quest; for beyond these lands answer may come, with experience that cultural differences and openness of discussions may offer.

And for them, sometimes, they look too far out that they misinterpret what is just around them. The family. A simple act of wisdom is what is needed. An act of wisdom that will bring a change of hearts, that will bear the fruits of acceptance. What we seek is the social benefit, yet when the core is hurt, how can one say he’s true to the cause? Unhurt, acknowledging, and loved beings are qualities to be made sure, after months of isolation. An obligation.

In the black heat of constant anger.. Hearts purified.. A wonder nowadays.

The Trilemma in History

The preferred approach is therefore to examine what countries do, not what they say (Obstfeld and Rogoff 1995; Calvo and Reinhart 2001, 2002; Levy-Yeyati and Sturzenegger 2002; Reinhart and Rogoff 2004).
