into the 2nd week
(Note: I’m writing this as a response to a junior who would like a description of Warwick university in my point of view.)
Ahh.. Warwick. The original name of the university: the University of Warwick in Coventry, though the latter part is now gone. Forgive me for this description, as it is ultimately biased.
Living in lakeside, which is around 10 minutes to the central campus is a pain. Yea, knowing that you will have to walk that extra mile for a lunch (which to date, i never had) while others have only a few minutes journey for that rewarding food or the cozy-ness of bed. Yet, living here has its advantages. Yes.
I am just beginning the second week of term here, and the tutorials, seminars and workshops have not even started. So i can not comment on these. But the lectures. Yea, i need to thank MARESMART for preparing me years before for lectures. They are all right, though some lecturers have that too old-fashioned a style. That monotonous speech… Oohh, how sweets are helpful.
As a campus university, living here, i could literally not go out to town for a month. On-campus is Costcutter, a store which has most stuff i’d need. And a few minutes from the central campus is the CanonPark Shopping Mall, a decent mall with TESCO and an asian shop (& others of course). Malaysian delicacies could be found here. Yea, for real.
For economics, in the first year, students are allowed to take a minimum of a full subject as an optional module. So this is a chance for you to define your own degree, even from the first year, as not many of the degrees permits an option in the first year. Well, for me, dzull and hazim, we’re choosing foundations for accounting & finance, with which, i will be able to pursue a second year accounting/finance module.
Yep ,so that’s how it is for me who has yet another 3 years for the completion of his first degree. May i not go astray…
